looking for reality
The works of this collection may be considered as an introspection. During lifetime, an illusion always deceives us to believe that we have the things we do not have in reality. The action of imagination has various types. It can be either a simple dream during our routine life or all belief and religious systems. They are, fundamentally, fantasies that can not hide the harsh realities of life. They show the unpleasant reality of disability, the horrible truth of the impossibility of joy and being tapped in own barriers and intellectual frameworks.
Fluidity, fragmentation and incompleteness enable the subject to connect to an unavailable object. Yet, in the face of these works, the subject is absent; however, just you know it exists and can be felt.
Balance Collection 2013
This collection is similar in content to my previous works and is based on the subject of feminine and masculine nature and infinite duality on both. I explore the truth behind human relations, behind the dominating roles of both sexes; I ask the rhetorical question “where does life begin?”
‘Balance’ consists of 8 human size sculptures representing statement of balance between masculine and feminine beginning. Slender agile figures of man and women, intertwined and infused with energy of creation are molded form steel and finished with a coat of chrome, a cold almost lifeless but extremely reflective material. Dance of shadows in shiny mirror surfaces of statues becomes an intricate game that mystifies and challenges the viewer. As you move between the floating figures and explore the fractions of feminine and masculine elements echoed by them your own reflection becomes a never-ending game of light and shadow, of balance.
My men are conqueror engaged in turmoil’s and hassles of daily life. My women are delicate and soft. They are creators of mankind and for that I have given them wings that will lead them to heaven. Silence of chrome silhouettes is only an illusion-by ornamenting them with calligraphic scripts I give them a voice, “even though spoken only on the inside”
The Entrance 2016
This collection is the outcome of the companionship of individual view to “Knockers” pending between time and place. In the same manner as knockers that take us, after a momentary anticipation , to places between the past and the future. In this traverse, we are accompanied by beliefs and ideas along with an unsettled identity that constantly transforms. In this collection, I have endeavored to narrate a personal yet internal concept through my own medium and devices, a narration that reveals my mental fears and enigma in crossing passages; and knockers are the representation and the means for comprehension and a slight contemplation.
